Compliance checklist. Sell with confidence
Every listing follows FSA traceability guidance. If you can tick these six, you're good to list.
FSA traceability
Batch codes, production date and BBE on every pallet. One step up, one step down, as the FSA requires. Lots that need it carry a lot-level traceability sheet from supplier to dispatch.
COA & specification
Human-grade and feed lots ship with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) or spec sheet covering moisture, protein, allergen and micro results. Buyers can request the COA before they offer.
HACCP in place
Surplus stored under your existing HACCP plan, ambient, chilled or frozen. Note any CCP deviations honestly.
Allergen labelling
Declare the 14 FSA allergens, e.g. FW-001 sliced loaf contains gluten. Photos of labels speed up approval.
ABP Cat3 paperwork
Meat & dairy for feed needs Category 3 ABP docs, e.g. FW-015 chicken trim (2T, Norfolk) ships with commercial document and vet number.
Chilled chain proof
For short-date dairy and meat: 0-5°C logs from dock to dispatch. FW-018 Grimsby fish frames collect within 24h chilled.

Seller questions
Listing is free. On a completed trade we take a 12% success fee, e.g. £456 of cheddar offcuts → ~£54.70 fee. No sale, no fee. Full breakdown on pricing.
The buyer arranges collection, usually their own haulier or a shared pallet network. Choose ex-works, palletised or chilled at listing; most Leeds and Midlands lots collect within 48 hours.
We follow the WRAP hierarchy: fit-for-human first, then pet food, animal feed, then AD/compost. BBE window, storage and allergens decide the grade, human-grade lots earn 3-5x feed prices.
Meat and dairy for feed must travel as Category 3 ABP with a commercial document, like FW-015 chicken trim. Human-grade meat (e.g. FW-017 casings) just needs normal FSA traceability. We'll flag which applies before you list.
On collection sign-off, funds are released to your account within 3-5 working days (bank transfer on sign-off). Every load includes weight tickets and CO2e-avoided paperwork for your ESG file.
